ABOUT
Our annual mini festival From Europe With Love is back at Bromley Central Library on Saturday 25 March 2023. Join us as we celebrate children's stories and films from all over Europe.
This year's programme has a special focus on Ukraine and we are delighted to screen the joyful musical 'Trumpeter' as our main film. Of course we also have our regular line-up of short animations, creative activities and a delicious tea party with treats from across the continent. Tickets are now available on Eventbrite.
Here is what to expect on the day.

CONTINENTAL TEA PARTY
The day wouldn't be complete without a slice of cake or other European treat to enjoy with a cup of English tea.
We are looking forward to orange polenta cake from Spain, apple pie from Holland and honey cake from Ukraine.
ARTS & CRAFT ACTIVITIES
In solidarity with our Ukrainian friends we are crafting peace doves using our hands and displaying them like artworks around the hall. Other craft activities include making headbands out of national flowers, (think Tulips from Holland, Iris from France but also Sunflowers from Ukraine and Lily of the Valley from Finland!)
There will be plenty of interesting resources to make and do!
PASSPORT TO EUROPE
For travelling abroad you need a passport of course! Fear not as all children will be provided with their own travel documents. They collect stamps as they complete the various stages of their creative journey by watching films, taking part in activities and tasting some yummy treats. Once completed they will earn a Small World Cinema badge.
